Das Sapphire HD 3870 X2 Gespann hat enormes Potenzial und kann im Crossfire Verbund zur Höchstform auflaufen, wie gedacht. Im Augenblick jedoch profitiert weiterhin die Dual GPU nicht in jeder Anwendung. Erwartungsgemäß können sie an der Leistung einer normal getakteten HD3870X2 Karte vorbeiziehen und lassen natürlich damit auch eine GeForce 8800 Ultra in der Performance hinter sich. HD3870 X2 OC Grafikkarten sind ebenfalls im Handel zu erwerben, um die Leistung nochmals leicht zu steigern. Wie sich die NVIDIA 9800GX2 im SLI Verbund dagegen behaupten wird, muss erst noch geklärt werden.
