Der Thermalright Archon IB-E X2 zeigt hier was ein guter Single-Tower-Kühler zu leisten vermag. Die beiden PWM-Lüfter sorgen für guten Durchzug und dementsprechend auch Leistung. So kann der Kühler unseren 4670k auch bei 3,8 GHz noch spielend unter Kontrolle halten. Der kompakte Kühler hält gar noch einige Reserven bereit. Selbst bei Übertaktung zeigte unsere CPU mit dem Archon IB-E X2 noch kein Throttling. So konnte der Archon auch die 4,4 Ghz noch sehr gut stemmen ohne stark einzubrechen, was eine sehr gute Leistung darstellt. Bei vielen Werten wildert er den in Gefilden starker Doppelturm-Kühler und selbst die Riege der AIO-Wasserkühler wird von dem Kühler eingeholt. Auch stärkere Prozessoren können von dem Kühler also noch sehr gut in Schach gehalten werden. Auf Übertaktung muss mit dem IB-E X2 nicht verzichtet werden, im Gegenteil. Nutzer müssen dafür aber leider an anderer Stelle natürlich ein paar kleinere Einbußen hinnehmen. Mehr dazu aber im Abschnitt zur Lautstärke auf der folgenden Seite.
